Baby Yoga
At the Owlet Children and family centre we run, baby massage and  Baby Yoga courses, which last for 6 weeks.

There are many benefits for you and baby such as improved digestion, relief for colicky babies, helps the strengthening of the physical body and  helps to improve sleep patterns.

Community Art Room
One of the services we offer is Free use of our Art room, 

We have lots of craft material for you to use aswell as access to tea and coffee facilities, all we ask is that you to clear all the materials you have used away after each session

Coping with Crying

Supporting the parents to keep their babies calm

Coping with Crying offers parents useful advice and tips on soothing your baby,understanding them, their behaviour and how best to interact when theyre crying. Its a short film which is abaliable at Kirkgate Community Centre The First and last Monday of each Month

The Owlet Children Centre are wanting to set up a Dads group, we are wanting to do this by using your ideas and things you would like to do

This could be things such as sport and leisure or a group set up for dads and their children. If you would like to get involved or if you have any ideas please contact 01274 436600

Family Links Nurturing

Being a parent can often be frustrating, exhausting and very hard work. It can also be rewarding and great fun! The ‘FAMILY LINKS’ course will equip parents/carers with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for more enjoyable and effective parenting. Kirkgate Katchup


The Midwife Drop in, has moved to the Kirkgate Community Centre in Shipley. There is a midwife on hand for any antenatal checks, information on healthy eating, family support worker for advice and smoking cessation. 

HALE offering breastfeeding and weaning advice and suppport.

It is a calm, friendly atmosphere where you can meet other mums.Every Monday 9:00am -12:00pm at Kirkgate Community Centre.

Mini Music Makers
 

Teach your child old and new nursery rhymes. Come join us and and have fun at:

Owlet Children Centre every Tuesday from 2 pm  

Shipley Library on Wednesday 10- 10.30 am.

Parents Group
Parents Group is a way to meet other mums and make friends. we hold a variety of activites from pamper sessions to arts and crafts, This session if for parents only, Creche provided for children under 5 years, the group is due to start again after the summer holidays on Monday at Windhill community Centre 9.30am-11.30am. Portage Family Support Group

Do you receive Portage or have a child with additional support needs

Would you like to meet other families to share experiences?

Come along for a cup of tea/coffee and a chat

The group will be supported by experienced Portage Home Visitor and Play Specialist.Held at Owlet Children & Family Centre, between 1.00pm and 2.30pm  every Friday  fortnight during term time.  transport provided if required. Sensory Room
 Our Sensory room is used by all the children in the nursery and it is available to the local community to use for FREE .

The room is a great place for all babaies and young children as well as for people with additional needs or disability. We can discuss any additional needs you may have, so you can get the most out of your visit.

Stay and Play
The stay and play group runs on a Thursday morning 9.30am-11.00am

The stay and play group is set up to help parents and carers support their child through play using fun activities we will practice skills to support your childs development

The group is FREE and we also offer a healthy snack

Please note: Due to the popularity of the group a booking system is in place, if you would like to attend the session please call us at the beggining of every week to ensure you are able to get a place
